The free visit covers inspection of the structural condition of the dock and lift, identification of any pre-storm work the property would benefit from, and a written estimate for any work the owner chooses to schedule. There is no fee, no obligation, and no upsell pressure during or after the visit.

WHY FREE INSPECTIONS MATTER IN MAY

The pre-hurricane-season window is the single most important maintenance window for Southwest Florida waterfront structures. Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, and the rest of Lee and Charlotte Counties sit in some of the highest-exposure zones in Florida for storm-surge damage to private waterfront structures, according to Florida Division of Emergency Management data.

The same data shows that the majority of dock and lift failures during a storm cycle were preventable with relatively minor pre-season work, typically a few hundred to a few thousand dollars of pile, fastener, decking, or lift component repair. The post-storm version of those same repairs frequently runs ten times the May cost, when measured across labor surge pricing, supply shortages, and cascading damage.

A free on-site estimate from CC Docks & Lifts includes a walk-around of the dock structure, including pile-line condition checks at low tide where possible; a surface check of decking and framing connections; an inspection of any boat lift on the property, including cradle, bunks, cabling, and motor area; a discussion of any planned new construction, re-deck, or lift installation work the homeowner is considering; a written estimate covering any recommended work, with itemized line items and material specifications; and a clear "do nothing" recommendation when a property genuinely does not need work.

For homeowners considering a competing quote from another builder, the free visit is also a chance to get a second opinion before signing.

WHO THE PROGRAM IS FOR

The 2026 free inspection program is open to waterfront homeowners with an existing dock, lift, or piling system; buyers under contract on a waterfront property who want a pre-purchase assessment of the in-place dock or lift; property managers responsible for shared waterfront access on canal or coastal properties; and owners who lost a dock or lift in a previous storm and are planning a 2026 rebuild.

Same-day responses are not guaranteed during peak weeks in May, but the company aims to schedule the on-site visit within seven days of the initial request during the program window.
